Marble Hill, Dunfanaghy, Co Donegal, is a favourite family holiday centre in a sheltered Western part of Sheephaven Bay.

It overlooks the safe and sandy Marble Hill house beach. The local area is gentle and well wooded, in contrast to the general rugged nature of the Donegal coasts and highlands.

The Bay area offers a rich range of holiday activities.

Marble Hill’s own beach has enjoyed EC Blue Flag status in recent years to enjoy swimming and beach games. Sheephaven Bay has several other sandy beaches. The coastal waters of North-West Donegal are favoured by devotees of snorkelling and diving. Indoor heated pool with Sauna and Jacuzzi at nearby Shandon Hotel.  Water Sports are organised by Jaws Watersports  and Narosa like motor-boating and water skiing and for canoeing, windsurfing and sailing.

Fishing by line off the beach or rocks, or spinning from boats, for mackerel, sea trout, codling to name some of them. Boats go shark fishing from Port na Blagh (3 Km). Salmon and sea-trout in inland lakes nearby (2-15Km). Coarse fishing organised from Port na Blagh.

Walking and cycling can be a lovely pastime in the woods and minor local roads in a scenic country views.
Horse Riding: In fine scenic riding country locally. By arrangement your own horse or pony can be kept at Marble Hill House or at Jennie Hicky’s Stables nearby and riding centres at Arnolds Hotel.
